Audioscape Privacy Policy
Last updated: 8 November 2026
Audioscape is made by Amity Web Solutions Limited, registered in England and Wales (No. 05649124). We are responsible for the personal information described here.
Audioscape has no account, no adverts, no analytics and no tracking. We don't sell or share your information.
What stays on your device
Your favourites, subscriptions, listening progress, history, statistics and settings are stored on your device. If you use more than one device, they are copied between your devices through your own iCloud account. We can't see that information.
Smart search uses Apple Intelligence on your device. Your request isn't sent to us.
What reaches our server
To load quickly and reliably, the app gets station, podcast and audiobook listings through our own server, which sits behind Cloudflare. As with any web request, this means your IP address and what you asked for (for example, a search or a list of stations) reach Cloudflare and our server.
- Keeping the service running. Your IP address is used to stop any one address overloading the server. These records are deleted within about two hours. Our server also keeps a standard log of requests, which includes IP addresses.
- Suggesting a better category for a station. We store your suggestion with your IP address, so that each person counts once.
- Using Suggest a Source. We store what you send us with your IP address. Your email address is optional and is only used to reply to you.
We keep suggestions until we no longer need them. We rely on our legitimate interest in running the service and improving its listings.
Other services the app connects to
Audio and artwork come directly from their sources, and the app may also contact them directly if our server can't be reached. Each can see your IP address, as with any web request, and has its own privacy policy. They include radio stations' own streams, Radio Browser, Apple's podcast directory, each podcast's own feed and host, the Internet Archive, LibriVox, Open Library, Jamendo, Freesound, ccMixter, Audius and Wikimedia Commons.
If you choose to look up a song, its name is sent to the music service you picked.
Children
Audioscape isn't aimed at children and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of your personal information, and ask us to correct or delete it. Email info@amityweb.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
